SS Thistlegorm Dive Site — Egypt

About SS Thistlegorm

The most famous wreck dive in the world. This British cargo ship from World War II sank in 1941 after an air raid in the Strait of Gubal. At 30 m depth lie BSA motorcycles, Bedford trucks, railway wagons, ammunition and boots – a perfectly preserved time capsule. The bow is overgrown with soft corals, and large schools of barracuda circle above the wreck.
