About Sonegat Channel
A narrow channel between islands where tidal currents create a powerful funnel effect, drawing in large numbers of pelagic fish. Grey reef sharks, barracuda, and trevally stack up in the current, while the channel walls are draped in healthy soft corals. An advanced dive that requires timing with the tides, but delivers some of the most intense fish action in the Banda group.
