Sakatia Island Reef Dive Site — Madagascar
About Sakatia Island Reef
The fringing reef surrounding the tranquil island of Sakatia, west of Nosy Be, is one of Madagascar's most reliable turtle-watching sites. Green and hawksbill turtles feed on sponges and algae in the shallows, completely unfazed by divers. The reef features stunning coral bommies rising from white sandy bottom in crystal-clear water with 20m+ visibility. Leaf scorpionfish, longnose hawkfish and ornate ghost pipefish hide among the coral branches — making it an excellent macro and wide-angle site in one.
