About Charlie's Shoal

A submerged coral shoal rising to just 4 metres below the surface, surrounded by deeper sand flats at 18 metres. The shallow top is bathed in sunlight, supporting dense hard coral growth and clouds of juvenile reef fish. Larger predators including barracuda and cero mackerel circle the edges, creating dynamic encounters.
