Tikehau's sole navigable pass funnels nutrient-rich water that attracts manta rays, grey reef sharks, dolphins, and large schools of barracuda. The atoll sees far fewer visitors than neighboring Rangiroa, offering pristine conditions and unhurried encounters. Drift diving through the pass on an incoming tide provides spectacular visibility and abundant marine life without the crowds.
