Uepi Point Dive Site — Solomon Islands

Uepi Point dive site in Solomon Islands

About Uepi Point

Uepi Point is Marovo Lagoon's most famous dive — a dramatic coral promontory jutting into deep water where the lagoon meets the open ocean. The reef crest at 5m drops away into a sheer wall plunging past 40m, and the junction attracts a reliable parade of grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, and barracuda schools. On the incoming tide, the current brings clear oceanic water and pelagic visitors including eagle rays and occasionally manta rays. The wall is decorated with enormous gorgonian fans and dense soft coral colonies. Easily accessible from Uepi Island Resort, this is the dive that put the Solomon Islands on the international dive map.
