Wide channel between Alor and Adonara where deep oceanic water surges through, bringing plankton-rich currents. Whale sharks have been sighted here during the wet season, and resident pods of spinner dolphins frequently accompany boats. Beneath the surface, massive schools of surgeonfish blanket the reef slope.
