Manihi was French Polynesia's premier pearl farming atoll before becoming famous for its excellent pass diving. Tairapa Pass channels nutrient-rich currents that attract grey reef sharks, barracuda, and schools of jacks alongside beautiful soft and hard coral formations. The atoll's pearl farming heritage adds cultural depth, with abandoned oyster lines now serving as artificial reefs.
