About North Pass - Fakarava
Fakarava's 1.6km-wide North Pass (Garuae) is the largest atoll pass in French Polynesia, creating gentler conditions than the south. Manta rays, eagle rays, and Napoleon wrasse cruise the channel alongside grey reef sharks and whitetip reef sharks. The wide pass allows for relaxed drift dives with excellent visibility and diverse marine encounters.
