Cape Douglas - Fernandina Dive Site — Galápagos
About Cape Douglas - Fernandina
The westernmost dive site in the Galápagos archipelago, located on wild, remote Fernandina Island. Marine iguanas descend to the rocky bottom to graze on green algae — a behaviour seen nowhere else on Earth — while flightless cormorants dive nearby. The cold, nutrient-rich Cromwell Current supports an extraordinary density of life including penguins, fur seals, and octopuses.
