Tanikely Canyon Dive Site — Madagascar
About Tanikely Canyon
A natural sand channel cutting through the reef near Nosy Tanikely, creating a dramatic canyon effect with walls rising on either side. The channel funnels nutrient-rich currents attracting large schools of yellowtail snappers, humpback red snappers and bluestripe fusiliers. Whitetip reef sharks rest on the sandy bottom during the day, while octopus and cuttlefish hide among the rocky edges. A unique topography that combines the excitement of a drift dive with close-up reef encounters.
