About Irako Wreck

A 147-meter Japanese refrigeration supply ship sunk during WWII raids in 1944, resting upright at 28–42m depth. One of Coron's deepest and most spectacular wrecks, offering penetration through cargo holds still containing artifacts and machinery. The hull is now encrusted with soft corals and sponges, attracting lionfish, batfish, and occasional whitetip sharks.
