Miyaru Kandu Dive Site — Maldives

About Miyaru Kandu

One of Vaavu Atoll's signature channel dives, Miyaru Kandu (literally "Shark Channel") lives up to its name with impressive aggregations of grey reef sharks patrolling the channel entrance. The walls feature caves and dramatic overhangs decorated with sea fans and black coral bushes. Large schools of barracuda and trevally hunt in the current, and eagle rays are frequently spotted cruising along the reef edge. Best dived on an incoming current.
