Liveaboard · Costa Rica
Discover the aquatic marvels of Cocos Island while enjoying all-inclusive luxury.
Okeanos Aggressor II is a liveaboard cruising the Costa Rica region. It hosts up to 24 divers on board.
Operating in Costa Rica, the 36.6-meter Okeanos Aggressor II serves as a dedicated platform for exploring the region's remote pelagic-rich waters. Far from any continental shelf, isolated oceanic islands act as powerful magnets for marine life. Costa Rica’s Cocos Island is a prime example, a volcanic peak rising from the deep Pacific. Here, nutrient-rich currents collide with a complex topography…
A rich and varied menu is provided in the ship's eatery. While morning and afternoon meals are served as a buffet, the evening service shifts to a formal sit-down dinner prepared by the onboard chef. Guests also have access to a top-deck BBQ area.
Cocos Island, located 550 kilometers off Costa Rica's Pacific coast, is one of the world's ultimate big-animal diving destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island's remote volcanic seamounts attract enormous schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks — often numbering in the hundreds — along with whitetip reef sharks carpeting the rocky ledges at night. Giant oceanic manta rays, whale sharks, and silky sharks are regular visitors, and the deeper waters harbor marlin, sailfish, and yellowfin tuna. Bottlenose dolphins escort dive boats, and massive schools of jacks and barracuda create swirling baitballs against the blue water backdrop. The volcanic rock formations are encrusted with colorful cup corals and black coral trees, creating a dramatic stage for some of the most exhilarating diving experiences on the planet.
Complimentary Toiletries · Scheduled Underwater Excursions
Depending on the chosen itinerary, mandatory National Park charges vary from 350 USD to 630 USD per traveler. · Nitrox Tank Refills
Hotel collections are included at no extra cost, while transportation to or from the airport can be arranged for a supplemental fee.
We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.
A valid dive medical certificate is required for all guests on this vessel. The medical form must be signed by a licensed physician and confirm fitness for diving. Please upload your medical certificate when managing your booking.

The Okeanos Aggressor II is praised for its excellent crew, delicious cuisine, and strong diving experiences around Cocos Island. While comfortable and stable, guests have noted that cabins can be small relative to other liveaboards, and some perceived a lack of value.
