About Punta Carrión
An excellent checkout dive near the Itabaca Channel and a renowned night dive location. White-tip reef sharks sleep motionless on the sandy bottom while slipper lobsters, Spanish dancers, and octopuses emerge after dark. During the day, the gentle reef is home to schools of surgeonfish, parrotfish, and the occasional eagle ray passing through.
