Atlantis Point Dive Site — Madagascar
About Atlantis Point
Dramatic underwater rock formations near Nosy Mitsio that resemble the ruins of an ancient city — hence the evocative name. Enormous granite boulders are stacked and scattered across the seabed from 10m to 30m, creating an intricate maze of swim-throughs, archways and caverns. Large marbled groupers exceeding 1m hide in the crevices, while whitetip reef sharks patrol the edges and rest in sandy channels between boulders. The unique topography creates a genuinely otherworldly atmosphere unlike any other dive site in Madagascar.
