Further afield, if your liveaboard ventures towards the inner islands, dive sites around Praslin and La Digue are excellent in April. Ave Maria, near Praslin, is a fantastic granite pinnacle dive, home to a multitude of fish species, including groupers and snapper, and a common spot for pelagic sightings.
