Its designation as a protected marine area emphasizes the importance of preserving its pristine condition. Diving at Rainbow Reef involves navigating a prominent pinnacle that rises from depths around 30 meters, with the most concentrated coral and fish activity found in the upper and mid-depth sections. The site offers a classic drift diving experience, with strong currents ensuring a continuous flow of nutrients that sustain the spectacular marine ecosystem. Navigation is generally straightforward along the thila's profile. The reef hosts an exceptional variety of aquatic life, including barracuda, jackfish, tuna, and various species of sweetlips and grunts. This site is primarily accessed by boat and is best suited for advanced scuba divers who are comfortable with strong currents and have solid buoyancy control.
