Raiatea - Nordby Wreck Dive Site — French Polynesia
About Raiatea - Nordby Wreck
The Nordby is a three-masted Danish schooner that sank in 1900 in the lagoon of Raiatea, making it French Polynesia's only accessible historic wreck dive. Resting between 18 and 29 meters, the vessel is heavily encrusted with hard corals, sponges, and sea fans that have transformed it into a thriving artificial reef. Lionfish, moray eels, and schools of glassfish inhabit the structure, while the lagoon setting provides excellent visibility year-round.
