Southwest Reef Dive Site — Turks & Caicos
About Southwest Reef
A relatively pristine and seldom-visited wall starting at 18 metres, known for spectacular big fish encounters. Enormous barrel sponges and massive gorgonian fans extend from the vertical wall, with shrimp at their cleaning stations between them. Strong currents attract massive sharks emerging from the deep — nurse sharks, reef sharks, hammerheads, and even the occasional bull shark. Spotted eagle rays love to glide through the currents and are frequently sighted.
