Befotaka Bay Dive Site — Madagascar
About Befotaka Bay
A calm, sheltered bay on the south coast of Nosy Be offering some of Madagascar's finest muck diving. The sandy bottom with rubble patches between 3m and 14m is home to an extraordinary array of critter life: robust and ornate ghost pipefish, painted frogfish in all colour morphs, various species of shrimp (mantis, harlequin, and commensal), and rare ambon scorpionfish. Night dives reveal a different world with Spanish dancers, hunting bobbit worms and fluorescent corals under UV light.
