Dive Area & Sites

Komodo National Park offers some of the most dynamic and rewarding diving experiences on the planet. Divers can expect to encounter an incredible diversity of marine life, from the graceful movements of manta rays at iconic sites like Manta Point to the thrilling currents and vibrant reef ecosystems of Castle Rock, teeming with sharks and schooling fish. The region is also celebrated for its exceptional muck diving opportunities, revealing a fascinating world of unique macro critters. Visibility in Komodo is generally excellent, though it can vary with currents, which are a defining feature of the area. These strong currents, while challenging at times, are responsible for the rich nutrient upwellings that fuel the park's immense biodiversity. Divers should be comfortable with drift diving, and the experienced dive guides on Cajoma IV are adept at navigating these conditions, ensuring safe and exhilarating dives for all skill levels. The itineraries are designed to maximize underwater time, offering multiple dives daily across a variety of sites.

Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.

Medical Form Required

A valid dive medical certificate is required for all guests on this vessel. The medical form must be signed by a licensed physician and confirm fitness for diving. Please upload your medical certificate when managing your booking.
