Liveaboard · Egypt
Your gateway to the Red Sea's underwater wonders.
New Sambo is a liveaboard cruising the Egypt region. It hosts up to 20 divers on board.
The 30-meter New Sambo, built 2020 and refurbished 2024, navigates the Red Sea for dive expeditions, accommodating 20 guests. The high salinity and consistent warmth of the Red Sea's waters have cultivated remarkably resilient coral gardens. These reefs, packed into a long and narrow sea, are dense with life. This concentration attracts a wide spectrum of marine species, from schools of fusiliers…
Dining aboard the New Sambo is a delightful experience, featuring a variety of culinary options to satisfy every palate. Guests can enjoy meals served buffet-style, with both Western and local dishes available. The dining experience extends to al fresco settings and a special beach BBQ, complemented by welcome cocktails upon arrival. Snacks are provided throughout the day, and a set menu dinner offers a refined evening meal. The onboard restaurant is attentive to dietary needs, offering delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, ensuring everyone can enjoy the fresh and flavorful cuisine.
The Red Sea is widely regarded as one of the world's top diving destinations, famous for its exceptional visibility often exceeding 30 meters and warm waters throughout the year. Divers encounter a remarkable variety of marine life, from oceanic whitetip sharks, hammerheads, and grey reef sharks to graceful manta rays and pods of spinner dolphins. The region offers world-class wreck diving, including the legendary SS Thistlegorm, and pristine coral reefs at Ras Mohammed National Park. Southern itineraries explore remote offshore reefs such as Daedalus, Elphinstone, and the Brothers Islands, where dramatic walls plunge into the deep blue and large pelagics patrol the currents. Vibrant coral gardens host dense schools of anthias, butterflyfish, and giant moray eels, while macro enthusiasts find nudibranchs and ghost pipefish hiding among the reef.

Mandatory Service Charge (30 EUR per trip) · All prices listed above are approximate guidelines and cannot be guaranteed. Prices may change depending on circumstances and are subject to confirmation by the vessel operator. These fees usually apply per person, not per trip — especially Marine Park Fees and Fuel Surcharge.
Hotel transfers are available as an optional extra, costing between 55-75 EUR per activity.
We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.
A valid dive medical certificate is required for all guests on this vessel. The medical form must be signed by a licensed physician and confirm fitness for diving. Please upload your medical certificate when managing your booking.
