USS Merrimac Wreck Dive Site — Cuba
About USS Merrimac Wreck
Historic 98m-long warship from the 1898 Battle of Santiago de Cuba, deliberately sunk as a blockship at the harbor entrance. Sitting at 22m, the wreck retains its propeller, portholes and anchor in remarkable condition. Strong currents make this an advanced dive. One of four battle wrecks in the Santiago channel.
