About This Vessel

Thailand Master is a liveaboard cruising the Thailand region. It hosts up to 18 divers on board.

The Andaman Sea, bordering Thailand's western coast, represents a significant biological crossroads, explored by the 34.1-meter Thailand Master. Thailand's western coastline is a dynamic frontier, where monsoonal winds and oceanic upwellings create a marine environment of remarkable contrast. In the Surin Islands, enormous granite formations form swim-throughs and sloping reefs, while further sou…

Dive Area & Sites

Thailand's Andaman Sea coast offers world-class diving in the warm, clear waters of the eastern Indian Ocean, with the Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock standing as the crown jewels. The Similan Islands National Park features granite boulder formations creating dramatic swim-throughs, arches, and caverns, surrounded by healthy hard coral gardens and dense schools of tropical fish. Richelieu Rock, a submerged pinnacle, is Thailand's most famous dive site and one of the best places in Southeast Asia to encounter whale sharks and manta rays, particularly between February and May. Divers also regularly see leopard sharks, octopus, seahorses, and a kaleidoscope of nudibranchs. The Surin Islands to the north add pristine soft coral walls and reliable manta ray sightings, while the Burma Banks offer adventurous deep diving with silvertip sharks and large pelagics.

Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.

Medical Form Required

A valid dive medical certificate is required for all guests on this vessel. The medical form must be signed by a licensed physician and confirm fitness for diving. Please upload your medical certificate when managing your booking.

Tourist Card / Visa

Travelers joining Mergui Archipelago excursions must obtain a Myanmar Visa at the price of 50 USD.

Rental Gear

Scuba equipment can be rented directly on the ship with full duration packages (Wetsuit, Snorkel, Regulator, Mask, Fins, BCD) ranging from $90 to $270 depending on voyage length. Individual daily rates start at $25, with specific items like dive computers, torches, and exposure suits available for $30-$90 per voyage. Gas options include Nitrox cylinders for $25 per day (or $10 per individual fill) and 15L tanks for $10 per day.

Booking & Travel FAQ

How does the booking process work?

Select a cabin and departure on Thailand Master, and we send a real-time inquiry to the operator. After availability is confirmed, you receive a booking confirmation by email and secure your spot with a deposit.

When do I need to pay?

A deposit (usually 25-35%) is due upon confirmation. The remaining balance is typically due 4-8 weeks before departure, depending on the operator.

What documents will I receive?

After your final payment, you'll receive a travel voucher with meeting point, embarkation time, airport transfer details, packing tips, and your full itinerary.

How do I get to the boat?

Most liveaboards depart from a designated marina. Many operators offer airport pickup and transfers — details are in your voucher. We recommend arriving one day before departure.

What certifications do I need?

A valid dive certification (e.g. PADI Open Water), dive insurance, and a valid passport. Some destinations require additional permits or visas — we inform you during booking.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Cancellation terms vary by operator and are in your confirmation. Generally, the earlier you cancel the higher the refund. Changes depend on availability — contact us as soon as possible.
