Do liveaboards have a dedicated camera table?

Most modern liveaboards have a dedicated camera table on the dive deck with padded mats, freshwater rinse tanks, and 110V/220V outlets for charging strobes and batteries.

Almost every modern liveaboard now offers a dedicated camera table on or near the dive deck. The setup typically includes: a padded surface (usually neoprene or rubber matting) where you can rinse, dry and assemble cameras and strobes between dives; multiple freshwater rinse tanks (separate tanks for cameras, masks/regs and wetsuits); 110V and/or 220V power outlets above the table for charging strobes, dive lights, and laptops; and overhead lighting bright enough to work in the early morning before dawn dives.

Premium photography-focused boats (Master vessels, Aggressor's photo-specific charters, several Indonesian operators) go further with: dedicated camera workstations, mounted vises for housing assembly, microfiber towels, lens cleaning supplies, hot air gun for drying, and sometimes a dedicated camera room with climate control for the camera bodies.

Storage between dives: each photographer typically gets a personal numbered space at the camera table for their housing setup. Most operators ask you not to leave your camera in the rinse tank because shared tanks get crowded — instead, rinse, dry on the table, and store in your cabin or in a designated camera storage area.

What boats provide vs what you bring: boats provide the table, tanks, outlets, towels and basic tools. You bring your camera, housing, strobes, sync cords, batteries, chargers, lens kit, spare o-rings, silicone grease, and any specialty equipment.
