Galapagos Master · Galápagos · 8D/7N
This is an exciting collaboration between Master Liveaboards and Fourth Element, which not only showcases the amazing diving and marine life of the Galapagos Islands but also offers guests the opportunity to grab some free Fourth Element products. Joining the Galapagos Master crew on board will be key members of the Fourth Element team, providing insight into their OceanPositive conservation commitments and innovative dive products. On most days, your Cruise Director will schedule up to 4 dives - 2 morning dives and, where possible, 2 afternoon dives. For safety reasons, there are no night dives. This itinerary involves some long-distance and overnight cruising. While we endeavour to ensure the number of scheduled dives is fulfilled, sea conditions and other factors can impact the number of dives possible.
San Cristobal Island
Board the Galapagos Master in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno alongside the visiting Fourth Element ambassadors. After cabin assignments, safety walk-through, and an OceanPositive product introduction, the group heads out for an easy check dive at Isla Lobos to fine-tune buoyancy with curious young sea lions.
Dive sites: Isla Lobos
Good to know: Light current, ideal warm-up dive with playful sea lions.
North Seymour / Mosquera
Two relaxed morning drift dives in the central islands serve as a final tune-up before the long northern crossing. Expect white-tip reef sharks resting under ledges, eagle rays gliding past, and large schools of king angelfish. In the afternoon a guided walk on North Seymour Island brings you eye to eye with blue-footed boobies, magnificent frigatebirds in full courtship, and beach-loafing sea lions.
Dive sites: Punta Carrion, Mosquera Islet
Good to know: Afternoon land excursion on North Seymour; Fourth Element product showcase on board.
Wolf Island
A full day at Wolf Island, one of the planet's most charged shark dives. Hook in on the rocky shelves and watch dense walls of scalloped hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and silky sharks cruise the cleaning stations, while turtles, eagle rays, and bottlenose dolphins regularly pass through. Conditions can be strong, but the reward is some of the most prolific big-animal action in the Pacific.
Dive sites: El Derrumbe (The Landslide), La Ventana (The Window), Shark Bay
Good to know: Strong currents and surge possible; reef-hook recommended.
Darwin Island
The boat anchors off remote Darwin Island for a full day in the arena that put the Galapagos on every diver's bucket list. From the plateau you watch wave after wave of scalloped hammerheads sweep along the reef, and between June and November the giant outline of a whale shark often appears out of the blue. Dolphins, silkies, tuna, and big schools of jacks complete the spectacle.
Dive sites: Darwin's Arch (El Arenal)
Good to know: Up to four dives at the same site to maximise pelagic encounters.
Darwin & Wolf Islands
A last morning at Darwin to soak up the hammerhead cathedral, then a short crossing back to Wolf for a final pair of dives at La Banana and The Pinnacle. These walls and pinnacles are reliable for schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, moray eels, and the occasional curious silky in the shallows during the safety stop.
Dive sites: Darwin's Arch (El Arenal), La Banana, The Pinnacle
Good to know: Long overnight crossing west towards Isabela follows.
Isabela / Fernandina
Wake up in the cold, plankton-rich water of the Cromwell Current. At Cape Douglas on Fernandina you may witness the unique sight of marine iguanas grazing on algae underwater, joined by flightless cormorants and Galapagos penguins darting after fish. Punta Vicente Roca delivers Mola mola sightings in season, red-lipped batfish on the sand, and turtles in every direction.
Dive sites: Cape Douglas, Punta Vicente Roca
Good to know: Water temperature drops sharply; 7 mm hooded suit recommended.
Cousin's Rock
A relaxed final pair of dives at Cousin's Rock, photographing eagle rays in formation, schooling barracuda, and macro life on the walls. The afternoon at sea is a perfect chance for Fourth Element workshops, kit trials, and trip-recap sessions before the overnight back to San Cristobal.
Dive sites: Cousin's Rock
Good to know: Last dives of the trip; afternoon at sea returning to port.
San Cristobal Island
Enjoy a final breakfast on board and disembark in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno by 08:30. With a later flight you can visit the Interpretation Centre or stroll the malecón to spot sea lions hauled out on the benches before transferring to the airport.
Good to know: Disembarkation by 08:30 AM.
