About Fearless

The Fearless is a former wooden-hulled minesweeper deliberately sunk off Peter Island in 1986 as an artificial reef. The wreck sits upright in about 24 meters and is now encrusted with corals and sponges, home to groupers, moray eels and schools of snapper. Its intact structure allows easy exploration of the deck and superstructure. It is the most accessible purpose-sunk wreck in the British Virgin Islands.

It is usually briefed as a dive for intermediate divers. The site is reached by liveaboard, so entries are run from the tender or straight off the back deck. Tide, wind and season all shift the picture from day to day, so the crew's briefing on the boat always overrides any general description.
