Liveaboard · Komodo, Indonesia
The Intersection of Indonesian Tradition, Five-Star Spa Culture, and Marine Discovery
The Komodo archipelago, a region of pronounced marine biodiversity, is navigated by Scubaspa Zen, a 53-meter liveaboard built in 2020, accommodating 20 guests. The culinary experience is a centerpiece, featuring buffet-style breakfasts followed by a la carte service for lunch and dinner. Guests also enjoy themed barbecue evenings on deck. All specific nutritional needs are catered to by the kitchen staff.
Komodo National Park is one of Indonesia's premier diving destinations, where powerful currents sweeping between the Indian Ocean and the Flores Sea create an incredibly nutrient-rich environment. Divers are rewarded with encounters with giant oceanic manta rays at sites like Manta Alley and Cauldron, while reef sharks patrol the dramatic underwater pinnacles and walls. The currents attract large schools of trevally, barracuda, and sweetlips, and the reefs are blanketed in vibrant soft corals in every shade of pink, purple, and orange. Macro life is equally impressive, with pygmy seahorses, blue-ringed octopus, and colorful nudibranchs hiding among the coral. Above water, the famous Komodo dragons roam the islands, making this one of the few places on earth where world-class diving meets a truly unique terrestrial experience.

We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.
