This itinerary begins by exploring the celebrated northern sites near Safaga, including vibrant reefs and historic wrecks. The adventure then heads south into the open sea to the legendary Brothers Islands, a marine park renowned for its sheer walls, pristine coral, and consistent encounters with pelagic sharks. Divers should be comfortable with strong currents and deep diving conditions. The trip concludes with dives at the world-famous Elphinstone Reef before finishing in the south, offering a comprehensive tour of Egypt's offshore treasures.
Safaga, Egypt
Arrive and board the vessel in the port of Safaga. After a welcome briefing from the crew and guides, you'll have time to check into your cabin and set up your dive equipment. The evening is spent relaxing as the boat prepares for its early morning departure.

Safaga, Red Sea
The first full day of diving is dedicated to the impressive sites around Safaga. The plan often includes a visit to Panorama Reef, a huge coral formation with walls dropping into the deep, and potentially the famous Salem Express wreck, a moving memorial dive. These sites offer a great introduction to Red Sea diving, with abundant hard and soft corals and schooling reef fish.

The Brothers Islands, Red Sea
After an overnight crossing, the boat arrives at The Brothers Islands, a premier Egyptian marine park. The day is spent at Little Brother, a tiny island with sheer walls plunging into the abyss. The walls are covered in a dense forest of gorgonian sea fans and vibrant soft corals. Divers keep an eye out in the blue for passing sharks, including grey reef sharks and the occasional hammerhead.
Dive sites: Little Brother
Good to know: Night diving is not permitted within the marine park.
The Brothers Islands, Red Sea
Today's dives focus on Big Brother, famous for its resident lighthouse and two fantastic wrecks. Divers explore the Numidia and the Aida, both resting on the island's steep northern reef and now encrusted with coral. This area is one of the best places in the Red Sea to encounter oceanic whitetip sharks, especially in the warmer months. Strong currents can be expected, making for exciting drift dives.

Good to know: Wreck penetration is limited and subject to conditions.
The Brothers Islands, Red Sea
The morning offers a final opportunity for one or two more spectacular dives at the Brothers Islands, giving divers a last chance to spot the large pelagics that frequent these waters. Afterwards, the boat begins its journey south towards the Marsa Alam region, with the afternoon spent cruising on the open sea.

Elphinstone Reef, Southern Red Sea
The cruise arrives at another legendary Red Sea dive site: Elphinstone Reef. This long, narrow reef is famous for its exhilarating drift dives along sheer walls covered in purple and pink soft corals. Two plateaus at the north and south ends are hotspots for shark sightings, including oceanic whitetips and seasonal hammerheads. The vibrant reef is also home to countless anthias and large Napoleon wrasse.

Good to know: Dives are conducted as drifts from the tender boats.
Marsa Alam, Red Sea
The final day of diving typically includes two relaxed morning dives at reefs closer to the coast of Marsa Alam. These sites offer beautiful coral gardens and a chance to see turtles or dugongs. After the last dive, the crew helps with rinsing and packing gear as the boat sails back to Port Ghalib. The final evening is spent onboard, sharing stories and photos from the week.

Port Ghalib, Egypt
Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking at the marina in Port Ghalib. The crew will assist with your luggage and arranging transfers to the local airport or hotels.
