Is my deposit refundable?

Refund policy depends on how far before departure you cancel. Most operators offer a full refund minus a small processing fee if cancelled 90+ days out.

Refund rules follow a tiered schedule that's standard across the dive industry, with each operator setting their own exact thresholds. The general pattern is: cancel 90+ days before departure and you get a full refund minus a small administrative fee (typically €50-150). Cancel between 60-90 days out and you forfeit the deposit (usually 25-30% of the trip cost). Cancel within 60 days of departure and the cancellation fee climbs to 50-100% depending on whether the cabin can be resold.

The exact policy for your specific vessel is shown on the booking page before you confirm and again in your booking confirmation email. Some operators are stricter (Galápagos and Cocos charters often have non-refundable deposits from day one because they have long waitlists), while others are more lenient (mainstream Caribbean operators sometimes allow free changes up to 60 days out).

If the operator cancels the trip for any reason — mechanical issues, government restrictions, weather closures — you receive a 100% refund or a free reschedule onto an equivalent itinerary, your choice. This is contractually guaranteed.

If you need to cancel, reach out to us as early as possible — the further out you cancel, the higher the chance of a full refund and the higher the chance the operator can resell your cabin (which sometimes triggers a goodwill refund even outside the published terms).
