Dive Area & Sites

The Andaman Sea is renowned for its exceptional dive sites, offering diverse underwater landscapes from dramatic pinnacles to gentle coral slopes. Visibility is generally excellent, often exceeding 20-30 meters, and water temperatures are consistently warm, typically ranging from 27-30°C. The Mandarin Queen 9 explores both the Northern Andaman (Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Richelieu Rock) and Southern Andaman (Koh Haa, Hin Muang, Hin Daeng, Phi Phi Islands), each offering unique marine encounters. Expect to encounter a rich tapestry of marine life, including various species of reef sharks, leopard sharks, manta rays, and occasionally whale sharks at sites like Richelieu Rock. Macro enthusiasts will delight in finding seahorses, frogfish, and an abundance of colorful nudibranchs. The vibrant hard and soft coral reefs teem with schools of fusiliers, snappers, and barracudas, creating spectacular underwater panoramas. Night dives are also offered, revealing a different cast of nocturnal creatures and behaviors.

Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance before departure. Dive accident insurance covers medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, and emergency evacuation in the event of a diving incident. Trip cancellation insurance protects your financial investment — not only if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to personal illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, but also if the trip is postponed or cancelled by the operator due to severe weather, technical issues, or other operational reasons. In the unlikely event of operator insolvency, cancellation insurance can also help recover your payments. Please ensure your policies are valid for the entire duration of your trip and cover the planned activities.
