Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Arrival and Embarkation in Safaga

Upon arrival, a friendly staff member will welcome you at the airport. A bus transfer will take you to the marina where you will be attributed a cabin and discover the boat. The rest of the day is for settling in and preparing for the week ahead.

  2. Day 2: First Dives and Sailing

After breakfast, your guide will provide a comprehensive briefing about the week's program, safety procedures, and general life on board. Your diving certifications, logbook, and insurance will be checked before departing the marina. The boat will then sail to the first dive site, followed by a second dive after lunch. In the evening, the boat will continue sailing to a quiet and peaceful location.

  3. Day 3: Northern Reefs Diving and Night Dive

Today begins with your first two dives in the morning. After lunch, the boat will sail north for approximately two hours to reach the third dive site of the day. Depending on conditions, a night dive may also be offered. The night will be spent moored behind a protective reef in a quiet and peaceful setting.

  4. Day 4: Wreck Diving at the Thistlegorm

This day is dedicated to exploring the mythical Thistlegorm wreck, where you will conduct two to three dives. This iconic World War II cargo ship is a haven for marine life and offers a fascinating historical diving experience. The Thistlegorm is a spectacularly preserved WWII cargo ship sunken in the Strait of Gubal, with its holds packed with military vehicles including tanks, trucks, motorcycles, and railway rolling stock. Divers can navigate through the holds to discover these artifacts alongside a vibrant ecosystem of batfish, snapper, barracuda, and resident giant moray eels. Its historical significance combined with the rich marine life thriving on its structure makes it one of the most iconic wreck dives globally.

  6. Day 6: Brother Islands Exploration
