Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation – Marsa Ghalib

Guests will be welcomed aboard the DUNE Silky in Marsa Ghalib. After settling into cabins, a comprehensive safety briefing will be conducted, providing essential information about the vessel and the dive trip ahead. The evening is spent on board, preparing for the week's diving adventures.

  2. Day 2: Introduction to Red Sea Diving

Today begins with essential safety instructions and a thorough overview of the diving program. The first two dives will typically be in a sheltered area, allowing divers to re-acclimate and familiarize themselves with the Red Sea's underwater environment. After the dives, the vessel will set sail towards Port Ghalib for the night, with the exact schedule adjusted based on weather conditions.

  3. Day 3: Elphinstone Reef – Dramatic Wall Dives

Depending on the weather, two to three dives are planned around the stunning drop-offs of Elphinstone Reef. This iconic site is known for its impressive wall dives, often featuring strong currents that attract pelagic species. After the day's dives, the boat will sail to Abu Dabbab to spend the night in a protected area, offering a calm respite. If conditions permit, a night dive might be organized.

Dive sites: Elphinstone Reef, Abu Dabbab

  4. Day 4: Daedalus Reef – Shark Encounters

Following the weather forecast and guests' preferences, the day will feature two or three dives at Daedalus Reef. This remote offshore reef is celebrated for its pristine conditions and frequent sightings of large pelagic sharks. The boat will sail towards Daedalus during the day and spend the night anchored near the reef. A night dive might be organized, offering a different perspective of the reef's nocturnal inhabitants.
