This liveaboard trip explores the diverse dive sites of Ras Mohamed and the Strait of Tiran, known collectively as the 'Best of Tiran'. Divers will encounter vibrant coral reefs and historical wrecks, including the renowned Thistlegorm. The itinerary promises opportunities to discover a rich array of marine life amidst stunning underwater landscapes. Guests are welcomed aboard the Vita Xplorer at Hurghada, Marriott, with check-in commencing from 5 pm. After settling into cabins, there will be a welcome briefing outlining the week's itinerary and safety procedures.
Today focuses on the famous Strait of Tiran, which features four prominent coral reefs: Thomas, Gordon, Jackson, and Woodhouse Reef. These reefs are renowned for their vibrant corals and diverse marine ecosystems. Divers can expect drift dives with opportunities to encounter pelagic species and explore a variety of reef topographies including walls and plateaus.

Diving in the Ras Mohammed National Park offers spectacular experiences, characterized by some of the world's most remarkable drop-offs and steep walls. The area is known for its abundant fauna and flora, with potential sightings of Napoleon wrasse and manta rays. White-tip reef sharks are also commonly sighted in this marine protected area.

The day's diving will focus on Thomas Reef, the smallest of the Strait's reefs, known for strong currents and vertical drop-offs adorned with gorgonians. Divers might spot sleeping sharks on its wide plateau. Gordon Reef presents a different topography, allowing for drift dives or mooring, with opportunities to observe sharks following garden eels at depths up to 16m.

Woodhouse Reef, the longest of the four Strait reefs, offers exciting drift dives from south to north, with a gently sloping drop-off covered in coral at about 30m, offering shelter to sleeping sharks. Jackson Reef, the northernmost reef, provides dives often performed from moorings in areas of weaker current, facing a 40m drop-off. Its coral garden is known for abundant aquatic fauna.

The itinerary includes dives on legendary wrecks, such as the Thistlegorm and possibly the Rosalie Moller. These historical sites provide a unique opportunity to explore submerged artifacts and witness the marine life that has made these structures their home. Enjoy a final day of diving in a suitable Red Sea location, appreciating the last underwater moments of the trip. After the dives, the liveaboard will begin its journey back towards Hurghada, Marriott, allowing guests to relax and reflect on their week of adventure. The evening will be spent onboard at the port.
Guests will disembark at Hurghada, Marriott, by 10 am after breakfast. Transfers to the airport or onward accommodation will be arranged.
