Guests will embark at the Marriott Marina in Hurghada from 5 pm, settle into their cabins, and receive a welcome briefing. The evening is spent relaxing on board, preparing for the week of diving ahead.
Today's dives focus on the Brothers Islands, Big Brother and Little Brother, located in the middle of the Red Sea. These remote islands are known for strong currents and offer spectacular wall dives, attracting a variety of large pelagic species. Divers can often encounter hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and oceanic whitetips patrolling the deep. The site also features vibrant soft corals and impressive gorgonian fans.
Exploration of the Brothers Islands continues, featuring dives on historic wrecks and the impressive reef systems. Big Brother hosts two prominent wrecks: the Numidia, a 145-meter cargo ship, and an un-named 75-meter Egyptian troop carrier. These wrecks are often adorned with beautiful corals and provide shelter for diverse marine life, making them excellent sites for both historical interest and marine observation. The surrounding reefs are rich in corals and smaller reef fish.
Today is dedicated to Daedalus Reef, situated approximately 100 miles south of the Brothers Islands. This remote, circular reef is famous for its sheer walls that plunge into the deep, offering incredible drift diving opportunities. The area is known for regular sightings of large pelagic species, including schools of hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and occasional thresher sharks. The lighthouse on the reef provides a unique panoramic view for those who visit.
Further exploration of Daedalus Reef allows divers to experience its diverse underwater topography, including stunning coral gardens and vibrant reef ecosystems. While renowned for its pelagic encounters, Daedalus also boasts healthy soft and hard coral formations. Divers may encounter reef manta rays, eagle rays, and schooling barracudas. The northern point of the reef is a particularly active area for large group meetings and diverse marine life, often featuring a resident colony of anemones with their clownfish.
Today's destination is Elphinstone Reef, one of the most spectacular dive sites in the Red Sea. This elongated reef is famous for its dramatic walls that drop to great depths, adorned with colourful soft corals and gorgonians. Known for encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks, especially at the northern and southern plateaus, it also offers opportunities to spot grey reef sharks and schooling fish. The deep southern plateau is a highlight for experienced divers.
Enjoy final dives around Elphinstone, focusing on its diverse ecosystems and potential pelagic encounters. The reef's unique structure, including its cave at 25 meters, is home to a variety of marine life, from vibrant reef fish to occasional pelagic visitors like tuna and jacks. After the last dives, the vessel begins its journey back to Hurghada, allowing guests to relax and reflect on their incredible Red Sea experience. Divers are recommended to wait 24 hours before flying after their last dive.
Guests will disembark from the vessel by 10 am at the Marriott Marina in Hurghada after breakfast. Transfers to the airport or onward travel arrangements will be facilitated.
