This extensive expedition delves into the top offshore marine sanctuaries and coral formations in Egypt's southern Red Sea. The itinerary includes trips to the celebrated Brothers Islands and Daedalus Reef, both famous for sightings of large open-water species. Afterward, the journey continues to the distant islands of Rocky and Zabargad, preceding exploration of the St. John's cave networks. The voyage finishes with submersions at Fury Shoals, the dolphin-laden Shaab Satayah, and the well-known Elphinstone and Abu Dabbab reefs. Max guests on this trip: 20.

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Port Ghalib

    Upon arrival at Marsa Alam Airport, guests will be transported to Port Ghalib to board the yacht. Alternatively, for those flying into Hurghada, a complimentary group transfer service is provided. Following embarkation and a quick vessel orientation, the evening is at leisure.

  2. Day 2: Marsa Toronbi

    Marsa Toronbi

    The vessel departs in the morning after receiving clearance from the coastguard. The day includes a check dive and a second dive at Marsa Toronbi, an area that offers a good chance of spotting green turtles and dugongs. The boat then sails overnight to the Brothers Islands.

  3. Day 3: Brothers Islands

    Brothers Islands

    The day is spent diving around the famous Brothers Islands, a pair of remote offshore pinnacles known for their rich coral walls and frequent sightings of large pelagic fish. Three dives are planned, and if conditions and authorities permit, the boat will moor here overnight.

  4. Day 4: Brothers Islands

    A second day of diving is dedicated to the Brothers Islands, offering further opportunities to explore the vibrant marine ecosystem. After three dives, the yacht will begin its overnight passage to Daedalus Reef.

  5. Day 5: Daedalus Reef

    Daedalus Reef

    Divers will explore Daedalus Reef, another isolated offshore reef famous for its pristine condition and the possibility of encountering hammerhead sharks. Following three dives, the boat sails overnight towards the islands of Rocky and Zabargad.

  6. Day 6: Rocky & Zabargad

    The day's diving takes place around the remote southern islands of Rocky and Zabargad, which feature dramatic drop-offs and healthy coral gardens. After completing three dives, the vessel will navigate towards the St. John's reef system.

  7. Day 7: St. John's

    St. John's

    This day is dedicated to exploring the diverse St. John's area, known for its intricate network of tunnels, caverns, and swim-throughs. Depending on the schedule, up to four dives will be conducted at various sites before the boat sails on to Fury Shoals.

  8. Day 8: Fury Shoals & Shaab Satayah

    Fury Shoals

    The itinerary continues at Fury Shoals, offering up to four dives on its beautiful hard coral gardens. A highlight of the day is a visit to Shaab Satayah, also known as Dolphin Reef, for a chance to snorkel with a resident pod of spinner dolphins. The boat then sails overnight to Elphinstone.

  9. Day 9: Elphinstone & Abu Dabbab

    Elphinstone

    Start your day with a pair of dives at the renowned Elphinstone Reef, an elongated, slender reef known for its powerful currents and abundant pelagic marine life. A third dive is scheduled for either Abu Dabbab or Marsa Shona, potentially after dark. The night culminates in a special dinner and celebration alongside the crew.

  10. Day 10: Final Dives & Return to Port

    The final two dives of the trip are conducted in the morning. Afterwards, the yacht will return to the port of Port Ghalib, arriving around 2:00 PM. In the afternoon, a free group transfer to Hurghada is provided for guests who need it.

  11. Day 11: Disembarkation

    After breakfast on board, guests will check out by 9:00 AM, concluding the liveaboard trip.
