This challenging one-way itinerary from Hurghada to Port Ghalib is designed for experienced divers, targeting the three most legendary offshore sites in the Egyptian Red Sea. You will explore the deep walls and wrecks of the Brother Islands, hunt for schools of hammerheads at Daedalus Reef, and experience the thrilling currents at Elphinstone. The diving is characterized by deep walls, strong currents, and encounters with large pelagic species, including oceanic whitetip, thresher, and grey reef sharks. Due to the exposed nature of these dive sites, a minimum of 30 logged dives is required. This intense week of world-class diving is ideal for those seeking remote reefs and big-animal action.
Hurghada
Arrive at Hurghada and transfer to the vessel for boarding. Once all guests are on board, there will be a welcome reception, dinner, and essential boat and safety briefings. You'll settle into your cabin as the vessel prepares for an early departure the next morning.

Hurghada Coast
The day begins with up to three dives at local sites near Hurghada. These initial dives serve as a warm-up and allow everyone to check their equipment and buoyancy. After the dives, the boat begins the overnight sail south to the offshore marine parks.

Brothers Islands Marine Park
The first full day of offshore diving is spent at the legendary Brother Islands. Divers explore the walls of Big Brother, home to the shipwrecks of the Numidia and the Aida, both covered in a rich tapestry of soft corals. The diving then continues at Small Brother, renowned for its pristine gorgonian fan forests and dense concentrations of marine life. Currents here attract large pelagics, and divers keep watch for sharks in the blue.

Daedalus Reef Marine Park
After an overnight crossing, the vessel arrives at Daedalus Reef, a massive, isolated reef marked by a historic lighthouse. Today's dives focus on its steep walls and deep plateaus, famous for attracting schools of scalloped hammerheads, especially on the northern point. The pristine hard coral formations host a variety of reef fish, while the open water offers chances to spot other pelagic predators.

Daedalus Reef Marine Park
A second full day is dedicated to exploring the vast Daedalus Reef. With its remote location, the diving possibilities are immense and encounters are unpredictable. Divers patrol the walls, keeping an eye out for grey reef sharks, giant trevallies, and cruising turtles. The sheer size of the reef allows for varied dive profiles, from deep walls to coral-rich plateaus.

Elphinstone Reef
The journey continues to Elphinstone, a legendary reef known for its thrilling drift dives along sheer walls that plunge into the abyss. The reef is covered in vibrant pink and red soft corals and elegant gorgonian fans. Strong currents attract an abundance of marine life, and the north and south plateaus are prime spots for encountering oceanic whitetip and grey reef sharks.

Elphinstone Reef & Port Ghalib Coast
The final two dives of the trip are conducted this morning. Depending on conditions, this may be a last chance to explore the exciting plateaus of Elphinstone or a visit to a calmer coastal reef near Port Ghalib. After the dives, the boat cruises into Port Ghalib marina in the afternoon, where you'll have the evening to relax, pack, and enjoy a final dinner on board.

Port Ghalib
Enjoy a final breakfast on the liveaboard before disembarking. The crew will assist with your luggage and onward transfers to the airport or a local hotel.
