Welcome aboard in Sorong! You'll meet the crew and receive a welcome briefing as you settle into your cabin. Depending on the sea conditions, there may be an opportunity for a check-dive after departure in the afternoon.
Today's dives focus on Batanta Island, one of Raja Ampat's renowned Four Kings. This area is celebrated for its exceptional muck diving opportunities, where dark sand slopes reveal a treasure trove of unique critters. Expect to find species like mimic octopus, wonderpus, snake eels, dragonets, cuttlefish, and various nudibranchs. The ornate and robust ghost pipefish often features in these waters.
Explore the southern reaches of Raja Ampat around Misool, an area characterized by numerous small islands and dramatic underwater scenery. This region is known for its steep walls abundant with vibrant gorgonian fans and soft corals. Dives often feature rich marine biodiversity and dynamic reef structures.
Today features dives at some of Misool's most celebrated sites. Andiamo is a two-island reef with walls, overhangs, pinnacles, and a shallow plateau, offering a variety of habitats. Boo Windows is a favorite among underwater photographers, known for its unique rock formations and strong currents that create a 'window' effect. Nudi Rock offers excellent macro opportunities with black tip reef sharks and dog tooth tuna, while Karang Bayangan is a majestic mount, noted for its dense soft corals and fusiliers.

Explore the waters around Koon Island, strategically located between the Ceram and Banda Seas. This position provides dynamic currents that feed a rich ecosystem, known for its diverse pelagic and reef fish. 'Too Many Fish' is a prime site here, boasting an abundance of Spanish mackerel, dogtooth tuna, and various rainbow runners. The reef features diverse topographies including white sandy bottoms, walls, and steep slopes.

Today's diving takes us into the Banda Sea, a region of historical significance and incredible marine biodiversity. The area is shaped by volcanic activity, with many islands offering spectacular reef systems. Currents are often present, enriching the waters and attracting a variety of marine life.
Continue exploring the Banda Sea with dives at varied sites. Batu Kepal is a pinnacle known for its rich biodiversity, including fusiliers, damselfish, and butterflyfish, alongside larger pelagics. Karang Hatta features vibrant soft corals and abundant reef fish, while Hatta Opening is a large open-top reef. Banda Neira offers the chance to spot mandarin fish and peculiar critters, and Lava Flow is a unique site showcasing rejuvenated coral growth over ancient lava flows.

Today's dives focus on Ambon Island, specifically its southern coast, which is a world-class destination for muck diving enthusiasts. Expect calm, protected waters ideal for exploring the tiny wonders of the reef.
After breakfast, check out from the boat before 12:00. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward domestic flight or to a local hotel if you are extending your stay in Ambon. The last dive of the trip was on the penultimate day.
