Blue Storm · Egypt · 8 Days / 7 Nights
A classic long-range Southern Red Sea route from Port Ghalib that pairs the offshore drama of Daedalus Reef with the kaleidoscopic coral gardens of Fury Shoal. Expect sheer walls patrolled by scalloped hammerheads and oceanic whitetips at Daedalus, then a complete change of pace among the shallow pinnacles, swim-throughs and dolphin-friendly lagoons of the Fury Shoal complex. Around 17–20 dives over 6 diving days, with Elphinstone usually added on the northbound return when sea conditions allow.
Arrival transfer to Port Ghalib Marina, boarding from 18:00, cabin check-in, welcome briefing and dinner on board. Overnight in the marina.
Breakfast and a relaxed check dive on a sheltered house reef near Marsa Shouna or Abu Dabbab to test gear and weighting. Long overnight crossing south-east toward Daedalus Reef.
Dive sites: Marsa Shouna, Abu Dabbab
Three dives circling the lighthouse reef of Daedalus (Abu El Kizan). The north plateau is the prime spot at dawn for schooling scalloped hammerheads in the blue, with the east and west walls offering dense soft corals, anemone cities and the chance of grey reef sharks and oceanic whitetips later in the day.
Dive sites: Daedalus North Plateau, Daedalus West Wall, Daedalus East Wall
Early dive at Daedalus, then a daytime crossing west to the Fury Shoal area. Afternoon dive on one of the outer reefs (Sha'ab Claudia or Sha'ab Maksur) with caverns and tunnels carved by the swell.
Dive sites: Daedalus, Sha'ab Claudia
Three relaxed reef dives across the Fury Shoal complex: Sha'ab Sataya (often called Dolphin House for its resident spinner pod), Abu Galawa Soraya around the wrecked tugboat encrusted in hard coral, and Malahi or Gota Abu Galawa for swim-throughs and turtles.
Dive sites: Sataya / Dolphin Reef, Abu Galawa Soraya, Malahi
Two morning dives on the northern Fury reefs – typically Sha'ab Maksur and Abu Galawa Kebir – then a long afternoon and night crossing back toward Elphinstone.
Two dives on the iconic Elphinstone Reef, a sheer ridge famous for oceanic whitetip and thresher encounters along the north and south plateaus. Final check dive near Marsa Shouna in the afternoon, then back to Port Ghalib in the evening for the farewell dinner.
Dive sites: Elphinstone North Plateau, Elphinstone South Plateau
Breakfast on board and disembarkation between 09:00 and 10:00. Transfer to Hurghada (HRG) or Marsa Alam (RMF) airport.
