This route, encompassing Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone, is renowned for its pelagic encounters and pristine coral formations. Prepare for thrilling dives alongside hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, and often graceful manta rays, set against a backdrop of dramatic underwater topography.

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Hurghada

    Arrive in Hurghada and transfer to the liveaboard. Check-in starts at 15:00. Settle into your cabin and prepare for the exciting week of diving ahead.

  2. Day 2: Diving the Brothers Islands

    Begin your diving adventure at the Brothers Islands, a remote offshore location known for its rich marine life and dramatic underwater topography. The islands are famous for pelagic encounters and vibrant coral reefs. Expect strong currents and thrilling drift dives.

  3. Day 3: Exploring Big Brother Island

    Dive around Big Brother Island, a 400-meter-long island offering fabulous wreck diving and wall diving. The wreck of the Numidia lies on the northern tip between 10 and 80 meters, while the northwest side of the island hosts the wreck of the Aida. The walls are covered with corals and diverse marine life.

  4. Day 4: Little Brother Island's Marine Life

    Explore Little Brother Island, which boasts a very high concentration of marine life in a small area. Discover fan corals, overhangs, hard and soft corals in a variety of astonishing colors. There are plenty of fish, with regular sightings of hammerheads, thresher sharks, grey sharks, and white tip reef sharks at the right time of year.

  5. Day 5: Daedalus Reef Drift Diving

    Journey to Daedalus Reef, located approximately 180 km south of the Brother Islands. This huge reef is surrounded by a sheer wall and strong currents, making for fantastic drift diving opportunities. The hard corals here grow to impressive sizes, and divers should keep an eye out for pelagic species in the blue.

  6. Day 6: Elphinstone Reef Exploration

    Dive at Elphinstone Reef, a legendary Red Sea site and one of the most beautiful reefs. Its north and south plateaus are covered in hard and soft corals, attracting visiting pelagics. This truly is an awesome reef, known for its dramatic drop-offs and potential encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks.

  7. Day 7: Further Red Sea Dives

    Enjoy more diving in the Red Sea, exploring additional sites between Port Ghalib and the main itinerary highlights. The specific dive sites visited will be at the discretion of the captain and dive guides, depending on weather conditions. This flexible day typically includes dives on vibrant fringing reefs or pinnacles, often featuring schools of colourful reef fish, moray eels, and occasional opportunities to spot pelagic species cruising by. These areas are special for their healthy coral gardens and diverse smaller marine life, providing a perfect conclusion to the trip.

  8. Day 8: Disembarkation in Port Ghalib

    After breakfast, it's time to disembark in Port Ghalib. Check-out is by 09:00. Transfer to the airport or your onward travel arrangements, concluding your Red Sea liveaboard adventure.
