This extended journey through Komodo, Sumbawa, and Flores offers a comprehensive exploration of Indonesia's central Lesser Sunda islands. From the strong currents and rich reefs of Komodo National Park, known for its healthy coral and diverse pelagic life including manta rays, you will venture east. The itinerary progresses to the less-frequented waters around Sangeang Volcano, where pristine black sand critter diving awaits, and continues along the volcanic shores of Sumbawa and Flores. Expect a mix of dynamic drift dives, vibrant coral gardens, and opportunities for both large and small marine life encounters across varying underwater terrains. This route provides a deeper dive into the region's diverse ecosystems, culminating in the calm bays of Maumere.
Labuan Bajo
Today is embarkation day in Labuan Bajo, where guests will board the Seven Seas. Following a welcome briefing, the liveaboard scuba-diving adventure begins.
Day 2 features three dives at Sebayur / Sabolan. These serve as check and warm-up dives.
Divers explore three high-current pinnacles in North Komodo, completing dives at Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Batu Bolong.
Diving in South Komodo occurs at Manta Alley and Cannibal Rock. Divers encounter mantas and soft coral.
Day 5 features diving around Banta Island. Dives at GPS Point and K2 explore pelagic pinnacles.
Divers explore Sangeang Volcano for black-sand bubble dives. Visits include Hot Rocks and Bontoh, featuring unique volcanic underwater landscapes.
At Saleh Bay, guests snorkel with whale sharks near the bagans.
On day 8, three dives occur during eastbound transit. Divers explore the waters of Gili Banta and Flores West.
Day 9 takes guests to the Flores North Coast to explore the healthy hard-coral reefs of the Riung area. Diving continues on this Komodo National Park, Sumbawa & Flores itinerary aboard Seven Seas.
Day 10 includes three dives. Divers explore pinnacles and enjoy critter diving in Maumere Bay.
Maumere
After breakfast, divers disembark from the Seven Seas in Maumere, concluding their Komodo and Flores diving trip.
