This expedition journeys through the Lesser Sunda Islands, a region renowned for its vibrant reefs and significant current-driven biomass. Expect a diverse range of diving, from flourishing coral gardens in protected bays to exhilarating drift dives in nutrient-rich channels. The itinerary focuses on the remote Eastern Flores archipelago and the Alor region, known for pelagic encounters like schooling fish, occasional sharks and rays, and a rich variety of macro life. Water temperatures are typically warm, with currents varying by site and tidal conditions. This route offers a captivating blend of healthy reef ecosystems and dynamic underwater environments.
Maumere Bay, Flores
Guests will be transferred to the vessel in Maumere for boarding. After a welcome briefing and cabin allocation, the team will set up dive gear for a check dive in the calm waters of the bay, offering a first glimpse of the unique critter life of Flores.

Maumere Bay, Flores
A full day exploring the renowned muck and critter diving sites of Maumere Bay. The area is famous for its black volcanic sand slopes, which are home to a host of rare and unusual macro life. A highlight is a dive on a Japanese WWII freighter, the Wai Terang, now an artificial reef teeming with small fish and encrusted in corals.

Flores Sea
The journey continues east towards the islands of Adonara and Solor. The dive sites here feature healthy fringing reefs and dramatic walls dropping into the deep. Divers can expect excellent visibility and colourful coral gardens patrolled by schools of fusiliers, damselfish, and angelfish.
Lembata Island, Flores Sea
Diving around Lembata, an island known for its traditional whale hunters. Underwater, the seascape is defined by coral-encrusted boulders and sloping reefs. This is a great area for macro-lovers to hunt for tiny treasures like pygmy seahorses hiding in the large gorgonian sea fans.
Flores Sea
The morning offers a couple of final dives along the eastern coast of Lembata, exploring more of its vibrant reef systems. In the afternoon, the vessel begins its crossing towards the Alor archipelago, with opportunities for whale watching en route as we sail across the Savu Sea.

Pantar Strait, Alor
The boat arrives in the legendary Pantar Strait. The first dives in Alor offer a taste of what's to come, with nutrient-rich currents fueling explosive coral growth and supporting dense schools of fish. Dive sites in the south are known for their dramatic topography and potential for passing pelagics.
Pura Island, Pantar Strait
A full day focused on Pura Island, which lies in the heart of the Pantar Strait. The diving here is world-class, with sites offering everything from gentle slopes covered in anemones to thrilling drift dives along walls plastered in colorful soft corals. The fish life is incredibly dense, with vast schools of anthias and fusiliers.

Pantar Strait, Alor
Another day exploring the premier sites of the Pantar Strait. Depending on the currents, the plan may include exhilarating drift dives through channels or exploring underwater pinnacles. This area is a magnet for large fish, and the reefs are exceptionally healthy and diverse.
Kalabahi Bay, Alor
The focus shifts to the sheltered waters of Kalabahi Bay for a day of fantastic muck diving. The black sand slopes are a treasure trove for photographers and critter hunters. Dive guides are experts at finding bizarre creatures like rhinopias, frogfish, and a multitude of rare nudibranch species.

East Pantar, Alor
Explore the remote and unique dive sites on the eastern side of Pantar Island, such as the famous Beangabang. This area features a distinctive volcanic environment where hot springs bubble up from the seabed. The unique habitat attracts specific critters, and sites like 'Anemone City' are carpeted with anemones and their resident clownfish.

Pantar Strait, Alor
Two final morning dives at one of Alor's classic sites to enjoy the stunning reefs one last time. In the afternoon, the crew will help with rinsing and packing dive gear as the vessel cruises towards its final port. The evening is for relaxing and sharing photos from the trip.

Port of Alor
After a final breakfast on board, it's time to say farewell to the crew. Guests will be transferred to the local airport for their onward journey, filled with memories of the incredible diving from Flores to Alor.
