This liveaboard trip explores the heart of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its thrilling currents and staggering biodiversity. Divers will navigate vibrant coral gardens, dramatic pinnacles, and encounter a rich array of marine life from large pelagics to unique macro critters. The itinerary balances iconic dive sites with unforgettable land excursions, including a trek to see the legendary Komodo dragons.

Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Labuan Bajo & Check Dive

    Labuan Bajo, Flores

    Guests will be welcomed aboard at Labuan Bajo harbor in the afternoon. Following a comprehensive safety briefing and cabin allocation, you can set up your dive gear as the boat cruises to a nearby sheltered site. A check dive will be conducted to ensure everyone is comfortable with their weighting and equipment before the adventure begins in earnest.

  2. Day 2: Central Komodo — Batu Bolong & Manta Point

    Komodo National Park, Central Komodo

    The first full day is dedicated to Komodo's world-famous central sites, defined by vibrant coral pinnacles and thrilling currents. Dives are planned at Batu Bolong, a spectacular sea mount protected from fishing and swarming with life, and Makassar Reef, also known as Manta Point. This expansive site is a cleaning and feeding station, offering incredible encounters with graceful reef mantas.

  3. Day 3: Padar Island & Southern Pinnacles

    Padar Island & South Komodo

    An early morning start rewards with a trek to the iconic viewpoint on Padar Island. The panoramic vista of the park's multi-colored beaches is a photographic highlight. Afterward, the boat will head toward the southern part of the park for diving. Sites in this cooler, nutrient-rich region feature stunning soft corals and a high density of life, from schools of fish to hunting pelagics.

  4. Day 4: Rinca Dragons & Northern Reefs

    Rinca Island & Central Komodo

    Today offers a land-based adventure on Rinca Island to track the mighty Komodo dragons in their natural habitat with a local park ranger. After encountering these prehistoric lizards, the afternoon is spent diving the action-packed sites of northern Komodo, such as Castle Rock. This submerged pinnacle is a magnet for large marine life, including sharks and schooling jacks.

  5. Day 5: Disembarkation in Labuan Bajo

    Enjoy a final breakfast on board as the vessel cruises back to Labuan Bajo. The crew will assist with your belongings before you disembark in the morning, taking with you memories of an incredible journey through Komodo. Transfers to the airport or local hotels can be arranged.
