Embark on a diving safari to the southernmost reefs of the Egyptian Red Sea, exploring iconic sites like Daedalus Reef, Zabargad Island, Rocky Island, and Elphinstone. This itinerary promises spectacular wall diving, vibrant coral formations, and abundant marine life encounters. Divers can anticipate opportunities to spot schooling hammerheads, grey reef sharks, and a variety of pelagic species, making for an unforgettable underwater adventure.
Guests are welcomed aboard in Port Ghalib, with check-in starting at 4 PM. After settling into cabins, there will be a welcome briefing and dinner, preparing for the diving adventure ahead.
The journey begins by heading out to the southern reefs of the Egyptian Red Sea. Divers will enjoy their first dives of the trip, getting acquainted with the underwater environment and preparing for the spectacular sites to come. The initial dives focus on acclimatization and safety briefings.
Today is dedicated to exploring Daedalus Reef, a prominent oval reef in the Marine Park renowned for its deep walls and dramatic drop-offs. The site features mountainous, pristine hard coral formations and offers excellent opportunities to encounter schooling hammerheads and grey reef sharks. Its isolated location makes it a prime spot for pelagic sightings.

Diving around Zabargad Island offers a diverse experience with wall dives, a fascinating wreck, and shallow areas adorned with numerous slender coral towers. This site is particularly rich in tropical groupers, which are easily approached. Night dives here often reveal octopuses, crustaceans, and nudibranchs emerging from the coral grottoes.

Rocky Island, a small fossil-coral island, plunges its walls to depths exceeding 1000 meters, creating a dramatic underwater landscape. The walls are covered in soft corals and expansive gorgonians that sway in the current. Divers have the chance to spot various shark species, alongside sailfish, dolphins, and manta rays, making it a thrilling dive location.

Elphinstone Reef is a world-renowned dive site, famous for its sheer walls blanketed in soft corals. It offers a high probability of encountering Grey Reef Sharks circling the plateaus, and Oceanic Whitetip Sharks are also frequently seen for much of the year. The currents here can provide exciting drift dives along its vibrant reef system.
Dive sites: Elphinstone Reef
Enjoy the final dives of the trip in a selected southern Red Sea location, reflecting on the week's incredible encounters. The boat begins its journey back to Port Ghalib in the afternoon. The last dive will be completed today, with guests advised to wait 24 hours before flying.
After breakfast, guests check out at 10 AM in Port Ghalib, concluding their Red Sea diving safari. Transfers are arranged from the boat to the airport for departure.
