A nine-day, eight-night catamaran expedition through eastern Flores and the wild reefs of Alor. From the volcanic backdrop of Maumere to the legendary currents of the Pantar Strait, this trip mixes vibrant coral reefs, drift dives, and rare critter encounters on Alor's famous black sand slopes — closing with the quieter pinnacles of northern East Nusa Tenggara before returning to Maumere.
Welcome aboard in Maumere with crew introductions, cabin orientation and the dive safety briefing. After lunch, an optional check-dive may be scheduled close to the harbour if conditions allow, before settling in for the first evening on board.

The first full diving day stays around the reefs and slopes of Maumere Bay, easing into the trip with healthy coral gardens and a typical Flores mix of reef fish, anthias and macro life. Overnight the catamaran cruises east toward Lewaling Bay, with up to three or four dives planned.

Diving along the northern coast of Flores below the silhouettes of active volcanoes. Lewaling Bay offers soft and hard coral slopes and sandy bays with strong critter potential — three to four dives are planned before a night crossing toward Alor.

Arrival in Alor and the start of three days on some of Indonesia's most exhilarating dive sites. Expect strong currents, packed reefs and pelagic action in the Pantar Strait, with three to four dives across pinnacles, walls and channel reefs.

A full day around Kalabahi Bay, alternating exhilarating reef dives with the famous black-sand muck slopes that have made Alor a critter-hunter favourite. Up to four dives are planned, including a potential dusk or night dive for unusual cephalopods and shrimps.

A final day in the Alor region revisiting standout sites in the Pantar Strait and along the outer islands. Three to four dives mix bommies, walls and current-swept reefs before the catamaran turns back west.

Weather permitting, the southern side of East Nusa Tenggara is explored — cooler, nutrient-rich water with reefs that see very few divers. Three to four dives reveal a quieter, more remote side of the region.

The final diving day on the journey back toward Maumere, with two morning dives planned at Serbete and, conditions allowing, Tanjung Gedong on the northern side of East Nusa Tenggara. The afternoon is spent rinsing gear and enjoying the cruise back to port.

A light breakfast on board, a closing crew briefing, and check-out by 11:00 in Maumere. No diving today — please plan flights for the afternoon or later.
