This 11-night liveaboard journey through the Banda Sea offers a captivating exploration of Indonesia's rich marine biodiversity. Arrive in Maumere and transfer to the Samambaia for embarkation. After a warm welcome and briefing, guests will settle into their cabins and prepare for the adventure ahead. The evening will be spent at anchor, allowing time to relax and meet fellow divers.
Today begins with an orientation dive in the morning, followed by two more focused dives around the tiny island of Serbete. The area is known for its vibrant reefs and a variety of macro subjects, offering excellent opportunities for underwater photography. Expect diverse reef fish and corals.

Today's dives focus on the sandy and critter-rich sites around Lembata, offering some of the best macro diving experiences. The area is renowned for its diverse species of cephalopods and other unique invertebrates. It's a world-class destination for observing small, fascinating marine creatures.
Three dives are planned around Lembata today, including a special dive at an active volcano known as 'The Shark Wall'. This site is famous for its powerful currents and pelagic encounters. The afternoon features a northbound trip to the active volcano of Komba, a dramatic landscape offering unique volcanic vistas above and below the water.

Today is dedicated to diving around Alor, where the strong currents nourish a vibrant ecosystem. The area is known for spectacular hard and soft coral gardens, attracting a wide variety of reef fish and pelagic species. Dives here offer dynamic experiences with rich biodiversity.
Exploration of Alor continues. The day offers thrilling dives among its current-swept reefs. The area provides opportunities for both fast-paced action and serene observations of unique marine life, catering to diverse diving preferences. The underwater topography frequently features walls and pinnacles.
The final day of diving in Alor presents more opportunities to discover its incredible sites, tailored to guest preferences for either action-packed or calm dives. The day concludes with a relaxing afternoon dive at a beautiful wall, known for its pristine corals and often revealing hidden macro gems.
The vessel arrives at Reong, a small island off the coast of Wetar. The main attraction is a very fishy wall dive with numerous small caves and overhangs, serving as a sanctuary for nurse sharks. The shallows are home to vibrant hard coral habitats, perfect for snorkeling or shallow dives.
Guests visit Gunung Api, also known as one of the two Snake Islands in the Banda Sea. While diving here, divers prepare for encounters with dozens of sea snakes. The area is also known for sightings of Silver-tip sharks and Hammerhead sharks, making it an exhilarating dive experience. Clear blue waters enhance visibility for these pelagic encounters.
Lucipara, a group of seven paradise islands, is known for its impressive steep wall dives. These islands, named by Dutch seafarers, feature abundant coral growth along their sheer drop-offs. The area also serves as a critical nesting ground for sea turtles, adding to its ecological significance.
Ambon is renowned for its world-class critter diving, offering an unparalleled experience for macro enthusiasts. The area is home to an incredible array of unique species including Rhinopias, Frogfish, Ghostpipefish, Harlequin Shrimps, and the elusive Psychedelic Frogfish. Two dives are planned before lunch, followed by an optional land-based extension in Ambon.
On your final day, you will check out after breakfast according to your flight schedule. Guests may remain on board until their airport transfer. The crew will assist with luggage, ensuring a smooth departure from Ambon.
