About Red Sea Aggressor IV
The Red Sea's submerged geography, defined by a deep rift valley, supports an extensive marine ecosystem rich in endemic species and coral formations. The Red Sea Aggressor IV offers access to this environment.
Almost entirely enclosed by desert coastlines, the Red Sea functions as a distinct oceanic basin, its high evaporation rate and minimal freshwater inflow producing exceptionally clear and saline water. This isolated environment has given rise to a concentrated marine ecosystem, characterized by extensive fringing reefs and a high degree of species endemism found nowhere else on the planet. From vibrant soft corals to large schools of reef fish and visiting pelagics, the biology is rich and varied. The Red Sea Aggressor IV is a modern liveaboard built to provide dedicated access to this region's most significant underwater sites, operating as a focused platform for serious divers.
The vessel's diving operations are centered on a spacious, well-organized dive deck. Each diver is assigned a personal station for gear setup and storage, ensuring ample room and an efficient preparation process. Two large tenders transport divers to and from the sites, allowing for precise drop-offs and pickups. For underwater photographers, a dedicated camera table with charging stations and separate rinse tanks is available. All diving is conducted in small groups led by professional guides with deep local knowledge. Nitrox is available for certified divers, facilitating longer bottom times on the region's world-class reefs and wrecks.
Guest comfort is a priority throughout the vessel. Accommodation for 26 divers is provided across 13 climate-controlled staterooms, each featuring private ensuite bathrooms. The cabins are divided into nine Deluxe Staterooms and four more spacious Master Staterooms, offering comfortable arrangements for both single travelers and couples. Between dives, guests can relax in the air-conditioned indoor salon and lounge area, a perfect spot for photo editing or socializing. Outdoor space is plentiful, with a large, partially shaded sundeck furnished with loungers and two hot tubs, offering elevated views of the sea.
The onboard culinary program is designed to keep divers fueled and satisfied throughout the trip. An experienced chef prepares a diverse menu of international and local dishes, using fresh ingredients. Meals are typically served buffet-style for breakfast and lunch, offering a wide variety of choices, while dinner is often a plated affair served in the main salon. The crew can accommodate most special dietary requirements with advance notification. Throughout the day, snacks, fruit, and a range of hot and cold beverages are readily available, with a selection of beer and wine offered to complement evening meals.
Constructed as a purpose-built diving yacht, the Red Sea Aggressor IV measures 43.5 meters in length with a stable 7-meter beam. Its steel hull construction and overall size are engineered to provide a comfortable and steady ride, even during longer crossings in open water between offshore reef systems. The vessel cruises efficiently at 10 knots, minimizing travel time and maximizing time spent on site. With a guest capacity of 26, the ship maintains a high crew-to-guest ratio, ensuring attentive service and a smoothly run operation from the dive deck to the dining room.
Itineraries focus on two distinct regions of the Egyptian Red Sea, operating year-round to follow optimal conditions. Northern routes typically depart from Hurghada and concentrate on the legendary wrecks of the area, including the SS Thistlegorm, alongside the reefs of Ras Mohamed National Park. Southern itineraries, often departing from Port Ghalib, venture to the remote offshore pinnacles of the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, and Elphinstone, which are known for their strong currents and encounters with pelagic species. The Red Sea Aggressor IV is best suited for experienced divers seeking an efficient, dive-focused liveaboard from which to explore the Red Sea's premier wreck and reef systems.
