Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Marsa Alam – Embarkation and Briefing

    Today marks the start of your liveaboard adventure. Transfer to the boat in Marsa Alam, settle into your accommodation, and attend a comprehensive briefing about the week's diving activities and safety procedures.

  2. Day 2: Marsa Alam Area – Local Reef Dives

    Begin the diving expedition with 2-3 dives in the Marsa Alam area. These local reefs offer a chance to acclimatize to the water and equipment, featuring diverse hard and soft coral formations that are home to various reef fish and smaller marine life. Visibility is typically good, providing a gentle introduction to Red Sea diving.

  3. Day 3: Daedalus Reef – Shark Encounters

    Dedicate the day to exploring Daedalus Reef, a remote offshore reef renowned for its pelagic action. Divers can expect 3-4 dives, focusing on encounters with hammerhead sharks and oceanic whitetips patrolling the deep blue. The reef features sheer walls and strong currents, creating an ideal environment for large marine predators and schools of fish.

  4. Day 4: Daedalus Reef – Continued Pelagic Action

    Continue diving at Daedalus Reef for another full day, with 3-4 dives planned to maximize opportunities for shark encounters. The strong currents around Daedalus attract rich marine life, including schools of barracudas and tunas, in addition to the resident sharks. The dramatic topography and clear waters make for thrilling drift dives.

  5. Day 5: Sataya-Fury Shoal – Dolphin and Reef Exploration

    Head to Sataya-Fury Shoal for 4 dives, a region known for its vibrant coral gardens, intricate cave systems, and resident dolphins. The famous Dolphin House, a large lagoon with a sandy bottom, offers a chance to observe dolphins. Dive sites here often feature beautiful reef life and fascinating underwater topography.

  6. Day 6: Sataya-Fury Shoal – Diverse Underwater Landscapes

    Enjoy another day of 4 dives at Sataya-Fury Shoal, exploring more of its diverse dive sites like Maksur, Claudia, Malahy, and Abu Galawa. This area is characterized by stunning hard and soft coral formations, swim-throughs, and the possibility of encountering reef sharks and other pelagics. The varied topography provides excellent opportunities for both wide-angle and macro photography.

  7. Day 7: Elphinstone Reef – Iconic Red Sea Diving

    Conclude the diving portion of the trip with 2 dives at the iconic Elphinstone Reef. Divers can explore its northern and southern plateaus, which are popular for spotting sharks, including hammerheads in the early morning. There's also an option to search for dugongs in the shallow areas.

  8. Day 8: Marsa Alam – Disembarkation

    After breakfast, check out from the liveaboard between 08:00 and 09:00. A transfer will be provided to the airport, with the group bus typically reaching Hurghada around 13:00.
