About this route

This 10-day round trip from Sorong combines the soft-coral kingdom of southern Raja Ampat (Misool) with the high-voltage current dives of the central Dampier Strait. Operating from November to April when north-west winds make Misool accessible, the cruise spends several days exploring Misool's iconic karst islands, swim-throughs and pristine reefs before sailing north for action-packed drift dives at world-renowned sites such as Cape Kri and Blue Magic. Day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1: Embarkation in Sorong

    Sorong, West Papua

    Upon arrival at Sorong's airport, you will be transferred to the port to board the vessel. After settling into your cabin, the cruise director will conduct a comprehensive welcome and safety briefing. Depending on arrival schedules, a check dive may be conducted in the late afternoon before the boat begins its journey towards the heart of Raja Ampat.

  2. Day 2: Dampier Strait — Cape Kri & Blue Magic

    Dampier Strait, Central Raja Ampat

    A full day of diving occurs in the legendary Dampier Strait. Powerful currents sweep plankton-rich waters through the channel, attracting incredible fish life. Divers target world-famous sites like Cape Kri, which holds a record for fish species on a single dive, and Blue Magic, a submerged pinnacle known for aggregations of pelagics and cruising reef mantas.

  3. Day 3: Penemu & Fam Islands — Melissa's Garden

    Penemu Islands, Central Raja Ampat

    Today is dedicated to the stunning Penemu and Fam Islands. Dives will focus on sites like Melissa's Garden, an expansive and breathtaking coral garden teeming with life and carpets of anemones. Between dives, there is an opportunity for a short trek up to the iconic Piaynemo viewpoint for panoramic photos of the classic Raja Ampat karst island landscape.

  4. Day 4: Southbound Crossing to Misool

    Between Central & South Raja Ampat

    After a morning dive or two in the central region, the vessel begins the crossing south towards the magnificent Misool archipelago. This is a day to relax on deck, enjoy the scenery of the open sea, sort through photos, and prepare for the next chapter of the adventure in one of Raja Ampat's most scenic areas.

  5. Day 5: Misool — Boo Windows & Jamur

    Eastern Misool, South Raja Ampat

    The vessel arrives in the breathtaking limestone labyrinth of Misool. Diving begins at iconic sites such as Boo Windows, a rock with two swim-through 'windows' below the surface, and Jamur (Mushroom) Island. The reefs here are draped in a kaleidoscope of soft corals, and the waters are rich with fish swarming over the vibrant bommies.

  6. Day 6: Misool — Magic Mountain & Whale Rock

    Wayilbatan, South Raja Ampat

    Today's dives focus on the Wayilbatan area, featuring the celebrated site Magic Mountain. This submerged ridge is a major cleaning station for both reef and oceanic manta rays and is patrolled by numerous sharks. The day may also include a scenic tender ride through the 'Love Lagoon' for stunning photos.

  7. Day 7: Misool — Fiabacet & Jellyfish Lake

    Fiabacet, South Raja Ampat

    Explore the Fiabacet ridge, a chain of islands offering some of the most spectacular soft coral scenery on the planet. Dive sites like Tank Rock are packed with colour and critters, from tiny pygmy seahorses to wobbegong sharks. The day may also include a visit to a non-stinging jellyfish lake for a unique snorkeling experience.

  8. Day 8: Northbound Return & Farondi

    Farondi, South Raja Ampat

    Guests enjoy their last dives in the Misool area, exploring the caves and dramatic topography around the Farondi region. Sites like Goa Farondi offer thrilling cavern and swim-through experiences. After the dives, the boat lifts anchor and begins the overnight navigation back north towards the Dampier Strait.

  9. Day 9: Final Dives in Central Raja

    Dampier Strait, Central Raja Ampat

    Arriving back in the central region, guests enjoy one or two final dives at a favorite site or explore a new one depending on conditions. This is the last chance to soak in the incredible biodiversity of Raja Ampat. The afternoon is spent rinsing gear, packing, and sharing stories with new friends during a farewell dinner as the boat returns to port.

  10. Day 10: Disembarkation in Sorong

    Sorong, West Papua

    After a final breakfast on board, it's time to say goodbye to the crew. Guests will be transferred to Sorong airport for their onward flights, filled with memories of an incredible diving adventure in the heart of the Coral Triangle.
